XPAD FOR WINDOWS 7 DRIVERUntil the controller support is added, you'll need to emulate the controls.Xpadneo | Advanced Linux Driver for Xbox One Wireless Controller (shipped with Xbox One S) Skip to the content. You can go wired or wireless, and it will work fine on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit edition (its what I'm running).įor the wired path, you just need to plug in the controller and let plug-n-play do the rest, if if fails click here.įor the wireless option you'll need this, and once installed you just pair it just like on your 360. I figure if I can get her a controller for $40 and she likes it, my guild will have another healer! (plus it would just be fun having her as a person to run content with). My wife wants to play ESO with me but hates the way the game handles wsad keys in combination with pointing with the mouse to move. Has anyone successfully used one of these controllers? I have Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate on my computer and figure since it's Microsoft hardware running on a Microsoft operating system, the device should be, well, plug-n-play (since it's USB especially). I'm thinking of getting one and trying it out. XPAD FOR WINDOWS 7 BLUETOOTHYou might check your local Best Buy, we have a few left over but I can't find them in the catalog online.Īlso, you going wired, or is there a way to add bluetooth support? The only real ones I can find at the moment are all used, they've been discontinued for over two years. Note the reviews, this is not an actual Microsoft product. You can use it with a USB cable.īeware: Many Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Receivers are Chinese knockoffs and have annoying driver issues, though they can usually be made to work- Microsoft includes an old version of their driver in windows (at least they did in Windows 7), but it has to be manually loaded from the Device Manager every time you plug in the dongle or restart your computer. The Xbox One controller doesn't yet have a wireless dongle, but I believe it's been announced. I wouldn't set up a profile now and potentially build muscle memory that can't be used with the official support, since it's likely neither Xpadder nor Pinnacle will handle menus as well as the official support. Great comments and links! Thanks very much peeps!īy the end of the year ESO will support controllers natively. The pinnacle w/ strait jacket is better but still not perfect. In explorer mode I just hit A to loot then X to take all.I still had to use keyboard some for menu stuff and inventory with xpadder, needing shift modes suck, and still clunky.
